Fettercairn is named after the village of Fettercairn
near the East Coast of Scotland. It’s one of Scotland's oldest distilleries with
age old traditional manners since 1824. The distillery is snugly tucked away at
a cornfield by the River South Esk at the foot of the Grampian mountains from
which it takes its spring water supplies. This area is one of Scotland's most
fertile and beautiful regions with many forests and glens. After several owners
Fettercairn was bought by Sir John Gladstone in 1887 and later by Whyte &
MacKay.
