In 1967 a new distillery was built alongside the original Clynelish (see Brora). The new distillery was named Clynelish B and the old Clynelish A. Later the new Clynelish kept the name and the old was renamed Brora.

Tour in short: A standard tour of a modern distillery with nice traditional dunnage warehouses of the old Brora distillery. Nice views of the hills and the sea.

Travel Directions: Clynelish is situated just off the main A9 north of Brora. Follow the signs up the Balnacoil Road up quarter a mile up the hillside to Clynelish (and Brora) distillery.
Opening Hours: Easter to September: Monday to Saturday, 10am - 5pm. October: Monday to Friday, 11am - 4pm
Tour Times: Every half hour. Last tour one hour before closing.
Price admission: £4.00. This charge includes a discount voucher which is redeemable in the distillery shop towards the purchase of a 70cl bottle of single malt whisky.
Shop: Yes with a range of Clynelish and Brora malts as well as Classic and Hidden Malts,
Restaurant: No. Nice place for a picnic though.
Parking: Free parking.
Groups: By appointement.
Photography in distillery: No.
Foreign visitor support: Translations available in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Czech. German speaking guide.
Disabled access: Ok for the shop and visitor centre. Not to distillery.
Off season opening hours: November to December and January to Easter: By appointment only. (Closed between Christmas and New Year.)
